I had the teriyaki chicken and steak. It was really good! Nice atmosphere and the waitress was very attentive and helpful.

Yet another amazing lunch at manpuku, staff was great and the wait wasn't long. I try to make it here at least twice a month whenever I'm in bowling green. One of my top restaurants to stop at.

This has been the worst sushi ever if they put any less fish on the rolls there would of been no fish I paid 12 dollop for rice and cucumber I will never eat there again I would give this place a -5 stars

Lots of choices on their menu - all kinds of rolls and hot dishes! The edamame was just right in terms of the saltiness and how long it was cooked for. The chicken udon that I got wasn't what I expected although it was still good. And it came really hot (temperature-wise) so it was perfect for a rainy day. They were a bit under-staffed so it took awhile. And they also didn't have anyone on hand who knew how to make one of the cucumber wrapped rolls. I would say this is a pretty good Japanese restaurant for Bowling Green haha

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat, not so much anymore. They traded quality for speed. the place also has an unpleasant smell to it when you first walk in

Okay sushi.....I mean it is Kentucky! Some interesting rolls - nice wait staff (although clearly English is not their first language - and neither is Japanese, BTW!) - rice for the sushi was so-so. I enjoyed my meal here, but doubt I would come here again....

The thinnest...and I mean thinnest piece of sushi. It took a total of 90 minutes to recieve our last roll of 6. With only 2 other tables. One had udon and the other I'm not sure. This was a Saturday. We left with only one table. We contacted management and recieve no contact back. It's been a week. We spent $85 and deserve better customer service. HORRIBLE

Manpuku is a restaurant which is very close to the Lost River Cave. We are satisfied with the food quality. Friendly service, nice environment. More quantity will be more welcome.

Long Menu! There is a lot to choose from on the menu and maybe I didn't make the right choice. I ordered the seafood tempura. It was bland and tasteless. Maybe the batter wasn't mixed right or someone forgot to put something in it like salt or spice or something. My husband ordered the sushi and it was ok but nothing to rave about. The best thing about dinner was the service. The waitress was great.

Me and my wife really like coming here! The food is really good and economical. We get the Tennessee roll and Hibachi chicken. Hope to explore the menu a little more in the future. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend!!

So you'll first probably notice that this place is painted lime green on the inside, but oddly enough it works for the atmosphere. The service is good, most of the staff is easy to understand and willing to help, and the menu is quite extensive as far as the amount of sushi roll options that you have. I think it will take us quite a few more visits to burn though even a quarter of the options. One thing I wish is that all sushi places in BG had more raw fish options for rolls, but Manpuku does a better job than other places we've tried. The first night we were there they were even playing hair metal music and got quite a few compliments from the customers. Sushi is good and fresh for the middle of the US and has good flavor. It also helps that you can get a roll in about any combination you can dream of with specials on certain ones all the time, as well as happy hour specials. Definitely our fav sushi place in town so far.

I have eaten here a dozen times or so and have never been disappointed! The service is always top notch and never had any problems. The sushi is amazing. Everything looks great and tastes even better. They have a million different rolls that you can choose from. Some of them are very creative, but good! For desert I've tried the banana tempura and that is just a little slice of deep fried heaven!

delightful, simple. their tempura is light, crispy, and isn't exceedingly greasy. i could probably have eaten about twenty hundred more pieces, really. (not really.) salmon skin salad, clear, brothy soup, very pleasant, if very green, waitstaff--all pluses.

This place is great and the American greeter/server was so friendly. They have Happy Hour sushi at 3:00 on Saturdays which makes rolls around $1 off.

Extremely bland sushi. Miso soup is ridiculously salty. House salad was so bad I sent it back: all limp iceberg, canned peppers, and not at all a "ginger" dressing. Not to mention the bright green paint job... Not as cheap as it should be, either: $14 for lunch. My department ate there in a group of about 18 for lunch (reserved weeks before) and it was chaotic.

My review is on the sushi..... I typically order quite a bit of sushi and eat that for dinner. I realize here in Bowling Green Kentucky, really well prepared good food is kinda hard to come by, but this was pretty bad even for Bowling Green. The Nigiri I ordered was really bland, obviously low quality frozen fish thawed and put on a lump of hard packed rice with little to no sushi su. The pieces were very heavy and needed large amounts of wasabi and soy sauce to really even be palatable. If this were New York, LA, or really any town of any size I would be giving it 1 star and negative stars if I could, but being here it gets 2. My sushi dinner was about $50 for me by myself, and I left feeling like I might have gotten better at the Chinese buffet. Sushi is very simple, but it also takes a little bit of art, this place has none.... It is a college kids hangout and for those kids that don't know any better at all, it may be ok. I'd recommend Yuki, Haru, or Ichiban, in bowling green in that order. Service was fine, the kid tried hard and we didn't ever really need anything..
